CBIP Impartiality Statement
CBIP is committed to maintaining impartiality as a cornerstone of its certification activities. Our role as a trusted certification body depends on ensuring that all decisions are made with fairness, transparency, and integrity.
Core Commitments:
1. Objectivity: Certification decisions are based solely on objective evidence gathered through rigorous assessment by technical specialists, without bias or external influence.
2. Independence: We uphold our independence by identifying and mitigating any conflicts of interest that may arise in our certification processes and governance roles.
3. Transparency: Our procedures, criteria, and decision-making processes are open and accessible to the industries we serve, as well as other interested parties.
4. Equity: Our applicants and members are treated equally, regardless of size, location, or scope of operations.
To safeguard impartiality, we have established robust policies and processes, including Governance Board oversight of a register of impartiality threats.
If you have any concerns about our impartiality or wish to report a potential conflict of interest, please contact us at cbip@cbip.co.nz.
