CBIP Impartiality Statement
CBIP understands and places the utmost importance on integrity and impartiality in carrying out its certification activities. CBIP identifies, and manages conflicts of interests, so as to safeguard the objectivity and impartiality of certification activities.
Conflict of interest and objectivity are mitigated by policy, procedures, and audits assuring that all activities undertaken throughout the certification process are conducted in an independent and impartial manner.
Prior to engagement CBIP assesses all relationships, which may result in a conflict of interest or pose a threat to impartiality.
All nominees for Governance Board undergo an assessment to confirm suitability before the nomination is accepted.
Appointments are made to CBIP committees after consideration of potential impacts to ensure no single interest is predominant.
Governance Board and Committee members are required to declare potential conflicts of interest.
